Brunel Building Surveyors Ltd are a multi discipline Chartered Building Surveyors practice based in Ivybridge, South Devon. As Chartered Building Surveyors, Brunel Building Surveyors have over 25 years experience in assessing and specifying remedial repair for many common and some not so common building defects. We use drone inspections for difficult areas, avoiding the expense of erecting scaffolding before defect locations are ascertained.


Brunel Surveyors offer a range of surveys tailored to the individual. From full RICS level 3 Residential building surveys to commercial condition and new build snagging surveys. Brunel Surveyors offer bespoke Project Management packages from full management to Basic CDM duties. We also offer: Party Wall Services, Contract Administration, Building Regulation submissions, Planning applications and Feasibility Surveys.

What type of survey should I choose?

We are able to offer several residential surveys including level 2 homebuyer surveys and level three Building Surveys. The choice of survey depends on the type and value of the property in question. Level 3 Building Surveys are advised for buildings over 50 years old, those of non-standard construction or individual / larger properties. If you are purchasing a new build property, we are able to carry out a snagging survey to ensure a smooth transition into your new home. For commercial customers we can carry out dilapidation surveys and produce lease plans.

Your survey will be carried out by a fully chartered member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). We offer both impartial and detailed advice tailored to individual requirements. If required we offer a Drone inspection at no extra cost * and we use thermal imaging to identify defects in buildings.


*Drone surveys are carried out were normal inspection of roof is prevented. These inspections are subject to weather and site conditions.
